COMINCIA L'ECOVISION FESTIVAL
Il Brasile, il più grande polmone verde del pianeta, ha raccolto il messaggio lanciato da EcoVision, il Festival internazionale di ambiente e cinema. L'EcoVision Festival 2009 Fortaleza, comincerà domani, 18 Luglio e proseguirà fino al 24. Le proiezioni si terranno nel suggestivo anfiteatro del "Centro Culturale Dragão do Mar", tutti i giorni dalle ore 20,30 alle ore 22,30. Il Festival, uno dei più importanti in Europa, vedrà proiettati 51 delle opere selezionate nelle cinque edizioni del festival a Palermo, nonché i film vincitori dell'edizione 2009. L'intesa con il Brasile nasce proprio per risvegliare nel pubblico e nei media l'importanza di preservare l'ambiente e lo sviluppo sostenibile, riuscendo nello stesso tempo a mettere in luce nuovi autori emergenti. Ai brasiliani è piaciuto l'approccio e lo spirito con cui EcoVision Festival ha affrontato la tematica "ambiente", a cui va attribuito un significato che va oltre quello intrinseco del termine. Le opere pervenute durante questi anni trattano, oltre all'ambiente, anche altri temi di grande attualità osservando un mondo che è spesso devastato da guerre religiose, etniche, politiche ed economiche, sicché anche "i diritti umani" sono diventati un po' il fulcro del Festival.
Domenica 19 Luglio 2009, verranno presentati in anteprima alcuni estratti del film "Sonhos Roubados" della pluripremiata regista Sandra Werneck, basato sul romanzo "As meninas da esquina" - (Ragazze dell'Angolo) della scrittrice e giornalista della Folha de S.Paulo, nonché editrice di ISTOE'Gente, Eliane Trindade, che interverrà durante la serata dando un grande slancio alla manifestazione, tramite questi contributi, strumenti di riflessione di una realtà delle città brasiliane dove il traffico di droga o la vendita del proprio corpo rappresentano una strategia perversa di sopravvivenza.
Quest'anno sono stati settanta i paesi partecipanti. La genialità di questo festival è quella di premiare registi, produttori, attori che siano in grado di far conoscere e far riflettere sull'ambiente e sull'habitat in cui viviamo. E il festival è particolarmente orgoglioso che il suo messaggio sia stato raccolto proprio dal Brasile, il paese continente dove l'immensa foresta amazzonica è il principale polmone del pianeta.
Documentari naturalistici, animazioni, film, docufiction: una vetrina straordinaria che parla certo di ecologia non solo dell'ambiente, ma anche dei sentimenti, della musica, della solidarietà, dell'amore.
Saranno proiettati 51 film, una selezione delle migliori produzioni presentate a Palermo nelle cinque edizioni del festival. "Ecovision – dice Daniele Ottobre, direttore del festival – conferma anche in Brasile la sua formula di successo. Una formula che ha suscitato già l'interesse della California e della Cina. Vogliamo dare spazio al cinema indipendente e impegnato sul fronte della difesa ambientale. Esistono migliaia di registi, produttori e distributori che hanno trovato in Ecovision la vetrina migliore in cui proporre i loro lavori e il palcoscenico migliore per farsi conoscere ed apprezzare".

ECOVISION FESTIVAL 2009 STARTS IN FORTALEZA
Brazil, the bigger planet's green lung welcomed the message launched by EcoVision, the International Festival of Environment and Cinema. The EcoVision Festival 2009 Fortaleza will start tomorrow July 18th and will continue until the July 24th. The screenings will take place in the suggestive amphitheatre of the Cultural Centre "Dragão do Mar", daily from 8,30 p.m. to 10,30 p.m. The festival, one of the most important in Europe, will screen 51 of the films selected during the five editions in Palermo, Italy and the winner films of the 2009 edition. The agreement with Brazil was born to reawaken in the audience and in the media both the importance to preserve the environment and the sustainable development and to highlight social questions of a great emergency, in a world wasted by religious, ethnic, political and economic wars, through emergent authors. Brazilians were like the approach and the wit with which the EcoVision Festival has faced the "environment" thematic, with a significance that goes over the intrinsic one. The films arrived during these years in fact deal not only the environment but also other thematics very actual, observing a world devastated by religious, ethnic, political and economical wars, so the human rights are became the festival's keystone.
Sunday July 19th, will be premiered some extracts of the film "Sonhos Roubados" by the multiawarded director Sandra Werneck, based on the novel "As Meninas da Esquina" - (The Girls of the Street-corner) by the writer, journalist of the dailypaper Folha de São Paulo and also editor of ISTOE'Gente, Eliane Trindade who will attend during the evening giving a great impulse to the festival through these contributions, since they are instrument of reflection of the reality of Brazilian cities where the drug traffic and the street-walking represent a corrupt strategy of survival.
The participant countries this year were 70. The genius of the festival is to award directors, producers, actors that are able to communicate and to think about the environment and the habitat where we live. And the festival is very proud that its message has been launched exactly by Brazil, the continent where the Amazon Rainforest is the main green lung of the planet.
Naturalistic documentaries, animation films, fictions, docufictions: an extraordinary window that talks about ecology but also about feelings, music, solidarity, love.
51 films will be screened, a selection of the best productions screened in Palermo during the five editions of the festival. "EcoVision – says Daniele Ottobre, artistic director of the festival – confirms also in Brazil its form of success. A form that has already raised the interest of California and China. We want give space to the independent cinema, involved on the environmental safeguard. There are thousands of directors, producers and distributors that have found in EcoVision the best showcase where propose their own works and the best stage to communicate and to be appreciated themselves".
