Jaime Manrique is a poet, novelist, essayist and translator. He is
author of the memoir EMINENT MARICONES and the novels LATIN MOON IN
MANHATTAN, TWILIGHT AT THE EQUATOR and OUR LIVES ARE THE RIVER. He is
currently at work on CERVANTES STREET, a novel about Miguel de
Cervantes. He is visiting writer at LIU spring 2009.

Anne Waldman is the author of numerous books including OUTRIDER,
STRUCTURE OF THE WORLD COMPARED TO A BUBBLE and IN THE ROOM OF NEVER
GRIEVE. She is artistic director of The Summer Writing program at
Naropa University. Her new book, MANATEE/HUMANITY, will be available
at the reading.
